Season on Pause

Dear Langton Leafs families,

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to keeping our hockey community safe. As you know, Premier Ford announced a province wide lockdown starting Dec 26/20. As a result, the Langton Minor Hockey program will be PAUSED (not cancelled) until further notice.

We look forward to resuming all hockey activities as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your continued patience and support through these unusual times! Please watch for updates on the the website and our Facebook page in January 2021.

Erie Shores Wind Farm

Erie Shores Wind Farm consists of 661 General Electric SLE1.5 wind turbines/generators located along the north shore of Lake Erie between Copenhagen and Clear Creek, Ontario. The electrical energy generated by the wind turbines is collected and delivered by 34.5 kV lines, which ultimately deliver the power to the Port Burwell substation. At the substation, the voltage is increased to 115 kV for delivery to Ontario’s transmission grid. All electricity generated by Erie Shores is sold to the Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement. Erie Shores is one of the largest wind power facilities in Ontario, representing approximately 4.8% of Ontario’s installed wind power capacity.
