Volunteers Needed
Gopher Dunes is hosting their annual "Vet & Vintage Race Day" on Saturday Oct 29, 2016. 
They are also generously donating the proceeds to Langton Minor Hockey and we need your help to make this day a success by filling in numerous positions at this fun event.
Help is needed to organize the morning registration, posting results, flag positions and more.
Students can gain valuable volunteer hours at this all day event while helping our organization in the process.

Erie Shores Wind Farm
Erie Shores Wind Farm consists of 661 General Electric SLE1.5 wind turbines/generators located along the north shore of Lake Erie between Copenhagen and Clear Creek, Ontario. The electrical energy generated by the wind turbines is collected and delivered by 34.5 kV lines, which ultimately deliver the power to the Port Burwell substation. At the substation, the voltage is increased to 115 kV for delivery to Ontario’s transmission grid. All electricity generated by Erie Shores is sold to the Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement. Erie Shores is one of the largest wind power facilities in Ontario, representing approximately 4.8% of Ontario’s installed wind power capacity.
