Intertown Southern Counties Peewee "A' CHAMPS!
The road to the championship was exciting for our Master Mechanic Peewee #2 team. The semi-final game against Simcoe on Wednesday resulted in an overtime nail biter.
During the overtime period, Langton was on the penalty kill twice. At the end of the second penalty, the game winning goal was scored with only 26 seconds left in the first overtime period. It was an exhilarating end to a hard fought battle.
The championship game between our Master Mechanic Peewee #2 and Delhi #2 continued to build on the excitement from Wednesday night. Both teams came ready to play. This resulted in a scoreless first period. Near the halfway point in the game, Langton took a one goal lead. Langton extended their lead early in the third with a second goal. With outstanding goaltending and good defensive game plan, Langton kept Delhi's offense at bay winning the championship with a final score of 2-0.
