Long Time Volunteer Thrilled to be Inducted into Norfolk's Hall of Fame
If you have played even a minute of minor hockey in Langton over the past 43 years then you know who Roger Demeester is.
Demeester is one of four people being inducted into the Norfolk Sports Hall of Recognition this year.

In 1971, Demeester was a founding member of the Langton and Area Minor Hockey Association and he has been a huge part of the program ever since. Whenever a volunteer is needed at the Langton arena, time and time again Demeester has answered the call serving as an announcer, scorekeeper and timekeeper for over 7,000 Langton Minor Hockey games.
Demeester is quite humbled by the honour saying he doesn't know if he belongs with all the great athletes because all he did was sit in a booth keeping score.

Well the entire community of Langton and Norfolk disagrees as Demeester is deserving of the honour as much as anyone.

Erie Shores Wind Farm
Erie Shores Wind Farm consists of 661 General Electric SLE1.5 wind turbines/generators located along the north shore of Lake Erie between Copenhagen and Clear Creek, Ontario. The electrical energy generated by the wind turbines is collected and delivered by 34.5 kV lines, which ultimately deliver the power to the Port Burwell substation. At the substation, the voltage is increased to 115 kV for delivery to Ontario’s transmission grid. All electricity generated by Erie Shores is sold to the Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement. Erie Shores is one of the largest wind power facilities in Ontario, representing approximately 4.8% of Ontario’s installed wind power capacity.
