Atoms Strike Gold
The Langton Leafs - Long's Lumber Atom rep team won gold this past weekend in our annual Joe Callens Memorial Tournament.

After opening the tournament on Saturday with a 5-5 tie vs St. Geoerge, they never looked back, defeating Port Stanley later that day 5-2. They played Plattsville Sunday to clinch the top spot going into the finals with a 4-2 win and faced off against a solid Plattsville team again for the gold medal, defeating them 4-2 for the second time that day.

Erie Shores Wind Farm
Erie Shores Wind Farm consists of 661 General Electric SLE1.5 wind turbines/generators located along the north shore of Lake Erie between Copenhagen and Clear Creek, Ontario. The electrical energy generated by the wind turbines is collected and delivered by 34.5 kV lines, which ultimately deliver the power to the Port Burwell substation. At the substation, the voltage is increased to 115 kV for delivery to Ontario’s transmission grid. All electricity generated by Erie Shores is sold to the Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement. Erie Shores is one of the largest wind power facilities in Ontario, representing approximately 4.8% of Ontario’s installed wind power capacity.
